Hi,

I’m Diana, the creator behind What the Craft.

I create handmade pieces that bring joy into everyday life. Most weekends, you’ll find me at craft shows, chatting with people, hearing their stories, and watching them light up when they find something that feels like it was made just for them. I’ve also started stepping into business-to-business sales, but my favorite part will always be that personal connection. I love seeing my work become part of someone’s home or a gift that carries meaning.

My story didn’t begin here. For years, I was a wife, a mom, and a corporate employee working from home. My days were steady, but I longed for something more fulfilling, something creative that was just for me. Crafting started out as therapy and stress relief, and I quickly discovered how inspired and energized I felt whenever I finished a project. I couldn’t ignore the pride I felt in each creation. 

Maybe you’ve felt that same tug. The desire for something more fulfilling in the middle of all life’s responsibilities. For me, what started as stress relief, quickly became proof that even in the busiest seasons, you can find something that lights you up.

The turning point came when I helped my sister, a potter, at a local festival. Standing in her booth, I saw the joy people felt when they found a piece that spoke to them and I realized art wasn’t just about making something pretty. It was about creating a connection, a moment of happiness people could take home with them. If you’ve ever wondered if it’s possible to turn creativity into something meaningful, you’re not alone. I doubted whether anyone would ever want what I made, but I’ve learned it’s not just about the product. It’s about how it makes someone feel. I experimented with creating all kinds of items at first, but it wasn’t until I got my laser that things really clicked. Suddenly, the options felt limitless. 

My personal outlet has grown into a brand built on creativity, connection, and joy. And while I’m still balancing family and corporate life, each show and each sale brings me one step closer to the dream of running What The Craft full time.  A future where I get to pour my heart into creating pieces that brighten lives every day.

I love sharing my work at craft shows. Because I know the joy of finding something that feels like yours, a piece that makes you smile every time you see it, or that feels just right to give as a gift. And that’s what I want my creations to be for you: little sparks of joy in your everyday life.
